Invoice Generator for Nigeria

Create a professional invoice in your browser. No app to download, no complex software. Fill in the form, download the PDF, and it is ready to send to your client on WhatsApp.

Works on any network

The generator is a web page, so it works in your phone browser on MTN, Glo, Airtel or 9mobile, or on Wi-Fi. Nothing to install and no account to create.

Why Nigerian businesses use a free invoice generator

Data is expensive. A web page is light. Everyone knows data prices in Nigeria. There is no app to download or keep updated here: you load one web page, the PDF is built on your own device, and nothing you type is uploaded. Sending the finished PDF on WhatsApp uses very little data because a one-page invoice is a small file.

Supports NGN. Invoice in Nigerian Naira by choosing NGN in the currency picker. The generator calculates the subtotal and total, and adds VAT if you switch it on. The VAT rate is editable, so set it to 7.5%.

No app needed. Your phone storage is valuable. Don't waste it on another app. The generator runs in the browser you already have, and the only file it leaves on your phone is the PDF you download.

  • A payment details field for your bank name, account name and account number

FIRS, VAT, and e-invoicing in Nigeria

VAT in Nigeria has been administered by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the standard rate is 7.5% (raised from 5% in 2020). Nigeria passed major tax reform laws in 2025 that reorganise the tax authority and change which small businesses must register for and charge VAT, so confirm the current registration threshold with the tax authority or a tax professional. The generator defaults to 15% when you switch VAT on: change the rate to 7.5% and it shows the VAT as a separate line on the invoice.

E-invoicing mandate: Nigeria is rolling out mandatory electronic invoicing in phases, starting with large taxpayers. Under that system, invoices are transmitted to the tax authority electronically. A PDF from this generator is a straightforward professional invoice for small businesses and freelancers. It is not connected to the e-invoicing system. If your business falls under the mandate, consult a tax professional about the integration requirements.

Bank account details on invoices: Nigerian businesses typically receive payment via bank transfer. Type your bank name, account number, and account name into the payment details field and they print on the invoice, so clients can pay immediately without asking for your details separately. If you are registered for tax, you can add your Tax Identification Number in the address or notes field.
